Moore in Venice

On 24th October, 2011, the motet ' Cantate Domino ' by Andrew Moore was performed in St Mark's Basilica, Venice by the choir of St Mary's, Shaftesbury directed by Deborah Radford. Andrew Moore said, 'It is an honour to hear one's own music in such a beautiful and famous acoustic.' The work had been premiered the previous day in the church of Santa Maria dei Frari with Monteverdi listening from his tomb in the side chapel.

Premiere at Westminster Cathedral

" Veritas Domini " - an anthem for unaccompanied SSA received its premiere at Westminster Cathedral on 23rd January. The piece was commissioned for the closing mass of the Mary Ward 400 anniversary celebrations and is a setting of words selected from the writings of Mary Ward.

Debussy in Dorset

On 14th October 2011 Andrew Moore conducted members of the music department of St Mary's School, Shaftesbury, Dorset and some friends, in a performance at the annual staff concert of Debussy's Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune in the chamber version for flute, oboe, clarinet, harmonium (organ), piano, antique cymbals and strings. Abbado in London

On 11th October, 2011, Andrew Moore attented the memorable concert given by Claudio Abbado and the Luzern Festival Orchestra at the Royal festival Hall in London. Conducting as usual from memory, Abbado drew wonderful performances from this superb orchestra, of Mozart's Symphony No 35 (the Haffner) and Bruckner's Symphony No 5. Mozart in Austria

On Easter Sunday, 2011, Andrew Moore conducted a liturgical performance of Mozart's Missa Brevis in C, K.220, in the beautiful baroque abbey church of Kremsmunster in Upper Austria. The following Sunday he conducted a liturgical performance of his own Missa Cremifanensis for chorus, organ, string orchestra and timpani. Andrew Moore composed this mass in 2005 while staying at Kremsmunster on sabbatical; it has been performed many times since.
